The shiny diamond lay nestled in the sand and muck of the Bay for less than a week before a nearsighted catfish scouring the bottom for a tasty abalone was attracted by its
glitter. Mistaking the gem’s sheen for the translucent silver underbelly of his favorite entree, in one swallow, the old fish devoured the world’s most precious gem. Health experts
suggest fish is rich in essential minerals, but one has to wonder if they were referring to the Hope Diamond when making this pronouncement?!
